Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) is an exam carried by Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board to fill up the trained and adequate teachers in the primary and upper primary schools.
The Teachers Eligibility Test is mandatory for the candidates, who want to join as the teacher in the Uttar Pradesh state. This is one of the most popular exams among aspirants who are searching government teacher Job in UP after completed B.Ed./BTC.
The UPTET 2015-2016 exam will be conducted to fill up adequate teachers in Primary Level (Class 1 to 5) and Upper Primary Level (Class 6 to 8).

The UPTET 2015 exam will be split into two papers. Paper 1 for those applicants, who desire to join as a teacher in the primary level and Paper 2 for those, who desire to join in upper primary level. The applicants can apply for Paper 1 only, Paper 2 only or for both papers.
Educational Qualification:
The applicants, who want to apply for class 1 to 5th class must have valid BTC or D.Ed., or 2years BTC Urdu or bachelor degree from NCTE or UGC accredited university/colleges. The applicants in last year of degree courses can also apply for UPTET 20105.
The applicants, who desire to apply for class 6 to class 8 must have the bachelor degree with D.Ed. having minimum 50% marks or have done intermediate with minimum 50% marks and 4 years B.A./B.S.C.Ed. or B.ed./ B.S.C.Ed. from NCTE or UGC accredited university or colleges, or BTC training from UP or 2 years program in BTC/CT (Nursery)/NTT.
The applicants of Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) are eligible for 5% of relaxation in marks as per UP government norms.
Application Fee for UPTET 2015:
The applicants belong to General category and OBC requires to pay Rs.400/- for Paper 1 or Paper 2 and those, who belongs to SC and ST requires to pay Rs.200/- for Paper 1 or Paper 2 as application fee. The applicants, who want to appear in both papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2, requires to make separate registration and also pay application fee individually.
Physically handicapped applicants don’t need to pay any fees and are exempted from application fee.
The UPTET 2015 exam fees can be handled either by e-challan or by SBI Internet Banking/Debit Cards/Credit Cards/other bank Internet Banking mode and will be deposited in the account of SBI.

How to apply online for UPTET 2015

- Visit the official website i.e. upbasiceduboard.gov.in and click the link given in STEP 1 to read all important guidelines regarding UPTET 2015.
- Now go to the home page and click the link given in STEP 2 to start filling up an online registration form.
- Fill the details in a proper way on online registration page in The English language only correct and upload your recent photograph (size less than 20kb and in Jpeg file format). Now click on ‘SAVE’ button to save your registration form
- After getting your registration no. take a print of registration form for future use.
- Click the link given in ‘STEP 3’ on the home page of the board portal to pay your application fee. Pay your registration fee by choosing the mode of payment. After payment of fees take a print of fee receipt paid by online mode or e-challan print.
- Enter registration number, date of birth and fee payment transaction number received from the bank to print the application.
